The Daughters of the King

The mission of the Order of the Daughters of the King is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through prayer, service and evangelism.  As part of our Rule of Prayer, we pray daily for the unity of Christ’s church, for the spread of Christ’s kingdom, for God’s blessings upon the members of our order, for the spiritual growth of our parish and our rector, and for the grace to follow our Rule of Prayer for our own needs and for the needs of others.  The Daughters of the King offer intercessory prayer for all those whose names and needs are given to us, either by the use of the Prayer Request Card in the back of the church or by personal request to Jennifer Drake who serves as leader and coordinator of our intercessory prayer.  She may be contacted at 301-432-7390 or e-mail drake1@adelphia.net.  You may also contact the Rector or any member of our order.  We ask only that you give us the name of the person for whom prayers and needed and the prayer need.  All prayer needs are confidential and remain in our daily prayers for 30 days.  If the need remains after the 30 days, the person who initiated the intercessory prayer request should contact Jennifer.

The Daughters of the King meet in the Wilson Room of the Parish House on the second Saturday of the month, September through June, at 10:00 a.m.  Meetings begin with prayer and Bible study, followed by a short business meeting.   Any woman of the church who is seeking spiritual enrichment is invited to attend any of our meetings.  You do not have to join our order to participate in our prayer studies or any of our events.
