
Mrs.
Weatherholt began her ministry at St. Mark's in November of 1993. Prior to that time
she served as Chaplain at Hood College, Frederick, Maryland (1979-1983) and as
Assisting Priest at All Saint's Episcopal Church, Frederick (1983-1993). She is
a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota and the Theological
Seminary, Alexandria, Virginia. Mrs. Weatherholt was ordained to the
priesthood February 3, 1980. She lives in Hancock, Maryland ( just west of
Hagerstown) with her husband, the Reverend Allan Weatherholt, Rector of St.
Thomas' Parish, Hancock and her two sons, Daniel and Stephen.
Retired from Mack Trucks In. in October
1986 as Senior Engineer after 27.5 years service.
Ordained Deacon for St. Anne's Church Smithsburg, Maryland., July 6th 1978 by
The Rt. Reverend William J. Cox. Ordained Priest by the Rt. Reverend David K.
Leighton Sr. and The Rt. Reverend Harry Lee Doll on May 6, 1979 and served as
Vicar for St. Anne's Smithsburg until retirement on Jan 1, 1992. Appointed
Assisting Priest at St. Mark's in 1996.
Graduate
of Hagerstown (Jr) College; Boston University and Virginia Theological Seminary.
Served parishes in Virginia, California, Kansas and Maryland. Born in
Hagerstown, Maryland. Married has three sons and four grandchildren.
Graduate
of North Hagerstown High School 1957. Served in the United States Air Force
1959-1962. Radio Announcer 1963-68 (WJEJ&WARK Radio); Retired from Mack
Trucks in July 2001 after 33 years. Ordained to the Vocational Diaconate June
1989 by Bishop A. Theodore Eastman. Has served in St. Thomas' Parish, Hancock;
Church of the Transfiguration, Braddock Heights; St Andrew's, Clear Spring and
St Anne's, Smithburg. Joined St. Mark's in July 1999. John also serves as a
half-time Chaplain at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport. He is married with
two daughters and 6 grandchildren.
